British - This is a model of a biplane bomber like those that fought against the Italians in East Africa in 1940 and 1941. Vincents were Vickers Vildebeest torpedo bombers converted into level bombers. The Vildebeest entered service in 1933 followed by the Vincent in 1934. Although they were obsolete at the outbreak of WWII, Vincents were put to use in East Africa and in Iraq in 1941. And in the Far East, Vildebeests saw action against the Japanese invasion of Malaya and their subsequent invasion of the Dutch East Indies.
