Japanese D3A1 Model 11 Type 99 Navy Carrier Dive-Bomber - This
is a model of a plane like those that participated in the attack on
Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. The Allied codename for these planes
was "Val." The Val first saw combat in 1940 against the Chinese, and was used until
the end of WWII, serving finally as a kamikaze bomber, even
though its replacement, the Yokosuka D4Y "Judy", was introduced in
late 1942.
