Japanese MXY7 Model 11 Navy Suicide Attacker - This is a model of an Ohka like those that were dropped from Mitsubishi G4M "Betty" bombers against the American fleet in 1945. The Ohka was a human-piloted rocket with a large load of explosives in the nose. It was designed to be carried close to its target by a "mother" plane, and then dropped to make a final high-speed suicide kamikaze attack. It became operational in early 1945 but had little success, due to the vulnerability of the mother ships to American Hellcat and Corsair carrier fighters.
