British Meteor Mk.III - This is a model of a jet fighter plane that was used for ground support in Western Europe during early 1945. Despite being operating during the same stage of the war, late 1944 through early 1945, Meteors never encountered German Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighters. The Meteor underwent many improvements and had a long operational history. After WWII, they saw combat with the Australian air force in the Korean War. And several nations flew them in the various conflicts in the Middle East. |
