Junkers Ju 52 Tante Ju 1/72 Scale

German Ju 52/3m -This is a model of a transport plane that carried paratroops for the invasion of Crete in May 1941. The Ju 52 began life as a commercial airliner and ended up being Germany's primary air transport plane during WWII. It was called the Ju 52 See when its landing gear was replaced with floats for water-based operations. It began its combat career, however, as a bomber when Hitler began sending them to Spain in 1936 to fight for the Nationalists in the Spanish Civil War.
